GREAT HOLMES & EDWARDS ADVERTISING SPOON SIGN -
This is a quite unusual wood advertising sign featuring a display of spoons. These spoons show the process by which they were made from start to finish. Elves are shown making the spoons. Holmes and Edwards was started in 1882 and was an independant silverplate company until purchased by International Silverplate Company in 1898. International continued to use there name in their flatware line until 1931. This advertising piece is probably from the 1920s.
